Introducing my $6 bikini, which I bought in a rush when I realized I would rather go swimming than be self conscious and shy, which is more of my usual game.
Since wearing a bathing suit at the beach isn't as terrifying as I originally had thought, I think I'll look into a more retro suit for next summer. The last few weeks have been the hottest of summer (September, go figure!) - but I really, truly can't wait for fall.
I've already got a box for summer clothes sitting by my closet. Watching...waiting. As soon as the tempature drops under 16°C they're GONE.

It's blistering hot here, too (of course, we're only like 2 hours apart). I know what you mean about suits, but as it turns out very rarely do people point out your jiggly bits or say mean things. I just always imagine they're going to, haha.
Your hair is an amazing red, btw! I want to go red, but I'm scared about how much work it would take!
It's so true - people seem to be thinking only about how THEY look, let alone just lurking on the beach and judging you. Hah!
Looking at your blog I wish I had been more bleach-persistent and tried out blonde for awhile!
I think it'd be easy for you to go red, since your hair is already light enough. But, it's definitely a commitment. It's day three and I already see the hint of roots coming in. I hope I can hide them for at least a month...
