Forgive my absence - I've spent the past month locked away on the set of a television show, sitting behind a monitor and writing down continuity notes in a very large binder. My contract is done at the end of this week, and I celebrated my upcoming freedom by visiting Parksville on Vancouver Island with my family.

I think I blinded everyone on the beach with my deathly pallor, but I had tons of fun getting salt in my hair, and learning how to not be terrified of the little crabs that are everywhere on the beach.

This month I'm planning a road trip down Washington and the Oregon coast -- lots of camping, and exploring little towns and parks I've never been to. I'm going to stow my laptop along, so that means less sixty hour work weeks, and more updates. Hurrah!

The crabs looked like they were only 1/2 inch in width. Scarrryy!

AlinaAlbert: Thank you! I haven't been to the beach in a long time and I need to go many many more times before the summer is over.

Cosmia: It was my first time doing continuity so it was basically a month long crash course in it. Lucky for me it was a kid's show, and the kids never changed clothes. It was like a dream.

Ariel: I definitely will -- thanks for the recommendation! I'm so excited to go down there and explore.

0000: Thanks for visiting my blog -- I just discovered yours and I love it. Such gorgeous photographs. I plan to post lots of pictures during my trip. :)

Anon: Seriously, it's the same as spiders. They may be small but they move really erratically and quickly -- and sideways. Ughshs.
