This camera is popular with independent film makers, and has been used for movies/shows like The Tracey Fragments, A Scanner Darkly and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia(!). I'm so excited! I'll get it in a few weeks.

With everyone moving up to HD, digital cinematography and 3d(?!) cameras, production companies seem eager to upgrade their equipment. In this time of technology turnover I've wrangled myself a Panasonic AG-DVX100, which I'm going to be rationing my living expenses to pay for. Luckily I'm buying it from a company I worked with, and they're letting me pay for it monthly. This means I can film anything I want...whenever I want. Ahhh.
